Out-of-Stock Items
If you have made an advance payment for an item that is unavailable, you can choose to:
- Leave the amount as store credit with Libreria dell’Automobile, to be used for a future purchase.
- Receive a refund of the amount paid within 14 days, using the same payment method used for the purchase.
Your choice must be communicated to our Customer Service.
Right of Withdrawal
If you have purchased a product as a consumer (not for professional or business purposes), you have the right to withdraw from the purchase without providing any reason within 14 days from receiving the goods, in accordance with Articles 52 and following of Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Consumer Code).
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must send a request within 14 days of delivery through one of the following channels:

The product must be returned within 14 days of the withdrawal notification, in its original condition, with all accessories, and in its original packaging, at the customer’s expense. The refund will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
Note: The right of withdrawal does not apply to personalized products, such as books with a dedication to the recipient.
Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Products
If you have received a defective, damaged, or incorrect product, you can request a replacement or refund within 14 daysof delivery. In this case, return shipping costs will be covered by Libreria dell’Automobile.
To initiate the process, contact our Customer Service and wait for instructions before proceeding with the return. After receiving confirmation, you can send the product to:

The item must be properly packaged and accompanied by:
- The original invoice or delivery note
- A written explanation stating the reason for the replacement or refund request
If replacement is not possible, we will proceed with a refund of the amount paid within 14 days of receiving the return, using the same payment method as the original purchase. This does not affect your legal warranty rights.
Receiving the Package and Reporting Anomalies
If upon delivery, the package appears damaged or tampered with, you must:
- Immediately notify the courier of the issue.
- Sign the delivery document with the note “with reservation”.
- Report the issue to the courier’s local office and to us.
If the package appears intact, but you discover issues after opening it (damaged or missing items), you must report it within 48 hours of delivery.
Liability During Transport
Libreria dell’Automobile is responsible for the goods until delivery. If the return is made due to withdrawal, the customer is responsible for the shipment and any potential damage during transport.
