Product description
Duerden’s photography is little known, but this superb book should change that. Primarily looking at an eight-year window, from the first Goodwood meeting to the 1956 International Trophy Meeting at Silverstone, it’s a vivid record of the British racing scene. Amazingly, Duerden never had press access but you’d never guess that from looking at his evocative and superbly composed images. The beautifully printed 240-page title also covers later assignments for Mobil, including Economy Runs and the Bluebird Water Speed Record runs at Coniston Water. Goodwood historian Barker helped Duerden to fill in the background to these marvellous monochromes.
