Scuderia Mediolanum Tra Memoria E Presente

The story of Mediolanum is, without doubt, one of motor racing in other times. Of a Milan scuderia founded in 1955 and energised by the enthusiasm of partners from a number of Lombardy motor clubs, among them the Ambrosiana and the Madunina. This book paints a picture of large and small teams, who raced on roads and circuits every Sunday. They entered promising young drivers as well as established champions at the wheel of simple but tuned cars, grand tourers and sports cars: Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprints, TZs and TZ2s, the Porsche 356 and Ferrari 250 GTO/64 and 250 LM – Mediolanum raced them all. The first section of the book contains fascinatingly rare photographs, supported by testimony from publications of the period and the recollections of the protagonists. The second is devoted to the activities of “Mediolanum Storica”, which still races the same fabulous evergreen cars today – cars that are immortalised in this publication’s spectacular colour pictures.
