Product description
This book tells the story of an authentic champion of national and international rank. Born in 1901 in Mercato Saraceno, an ancient village near Cesena, Riccardo Brusi began working as an apprentice mechanic at the age of 12, immediately demonstrating a spontaneous passion for engines.
However, his passion for motorcycles prevailed, which soon translated into the desire to compete in speed races. At the age of 23, he was noticed by Molaroni, who hired him to test their motorcycles, but he didn’t stay there for long. Benelli, the large factory in Pesaro that maintained the prestige of Italian motorcycles, offered him to be part of their racing team, as second guide in support of Tonino Benelli. In 1932 Moto Guzzi wanted him in its official team and Riccardo repaid it by winning the title of European champion in the 250 at Monza, after a memorable duel with Alfredo Panella.
In the pages of this book, Riccardo Brusi emerges as a man and champion in all his facets. The research of the author, Paolo Prosperi, is painstaking, almost maniacal and full of notes that explain and deepen the details of the text, also accompanied by numerous images.
