This photographic book is dedicated to the participation of the Porsche 911, in various editions of the Florio Targa, with exclusive images, by photographers Roberto Barbato and Federico Marino.
The Porsche 911, participated in the Targa Florio, uninterruptedly, from the editions from 1966 to 1977, the year of the last edition of the oldest race in the world. A reliable, powerful, fast car, the Porsche 911, perfectly suited to the difficult 72-kilometer route of the Targa Florio, where it obtained extraordinary results, driven by drivers from all over the world.
The volume recalls the two best results obtained by this car in the legendary Targa Florio that have been immortalized with many exclusive images: the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR Martini Racing led by Herbert Muller and Gijs Van Lennep which won the 1973 edition, while in the 1974 edition, the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR “Bla Bla” led by Raffaele Restivo and “Apache” Alfonso Merendino, came second overall.
