Product description
This book presents the Torch of the Turin 2006 Winter Olympic Games which bears the signature of Pininfarina.
Through very detailed images and texts, the stylistic concept underlying the design is defined. It is a modern take on the traditional wooden torch, where the metal symbolically takes on the role of a burning flame. In this interpretation, the flame elegantly envelops the body of the Torch rather than emerging from a hole in the top, as in previous editions. This innovative approach has led to the creation of a dynamic and original shape.
To develop this unique concept, an unprecedented and exclusive combustion system was designed. This system has been carefully designed to ensure flame stability, resistance to extinguishing and optimal visibility. Thanks to this innovative solution, the Torch can burn continuously and safely, maintaining an impressive visual presence.
This distinctive design reflects a willingness to push past traditional boundaries and explore new ways of interpreting iconic objects. The Torch thus becomes a contemporary symbol that combines aesthetics and functionality in a unique and exciting way.
