The MAUTO – Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile di Torino – celebrated from end 2019 up to beginning 2020, a century after his birth, the automobile tailor Sergio Scaglietti with an exhibition of some of the most important cars he made. Enzo Ferrari’s trusted coachbuilder, Sergio Scaglietti modelled metal suits for decades that made his Modenese factory world famous for style and craftsmanship excellence. A craftsman of the four wheels, discovered by chance or fate by the ‘Drake’ himself who, seeing modifications made by Scaglietti on a crashed Ferrari, did not miss the opportunity. On display, and in this catalogue, are nine extraordinary cars and two rare masks, still used for restoration. The cars: Ferrari 250 SWB, Ferrari 750 Monza, Dino 246 GTS, Ferrari 275 GTB 4 and GTB 2, Ferrari 250 GTL, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, and, finally, a BJC Formula Junior and an Ermini 357 Sport 1500.
