Ruben Anders and Joost Rijkhoek have published the third edition of their Le Mans Annual. ?The style is slightly different again this year, at the request of the ACO. Rather than a purely photographic record of the race (as in 2004), or a photographic record plus race report (as in 2005), this time the images are complemented by extended captions, to explain the flow of the race and the major incidents. ?As before, there are still hundreds of photographs depicting the event – the atmosphere, the people, the crowds and the cars – but this time there’s a section devoted to the centenary of the first Automobile Club de France Grand Prix, organised by The Automobile Club de la Sarthe, the forerunner of the ACO.
