Product description
After selling over 40 thousand copies of his famous Lambretta manual, Martin “Sticky” Round, in February 2024, launches the first edition dedicated to Vespa. Despite the excellent sales, the feedback obtained at the Vespa World Days in Pontedera 2024 highlighted that the Italian public would have appreciated a translation.
Here is the result. In collaboration with Eugenio “Gegio” Degli Innocenti of Scooterismo.it and with a little help from Gabriele Cagni of CC Corsa and Luca Fonio of Vintage Garage Vespa, they have translated all the valuable information contained in the manual into the native language of the Vespa.
Contents:
-
In addition to the models produced by Piaggio, much of the information will also be useful for the early vehicles branded ACMA, Hoffmann, Messerschmitt, MotoVespa, MISA and even for the Russian Vjatka engines.
-
The compilation of this book took 2 years, working with Wideframe specialists such as Andreas Nagy (Nagy Blechroller), Zini (founder of Stoffi’s Garage), Ralph Bollag (Bollag Motos), Gabriele Cagni (CC Corsa) and Matthew Philips (Douglas Part Finder). SIP Scootershop and Scooter Center were also of great help.
-
This manual is NOT intended for specialists only. It will be a valuable ally in providing 21st century information for owners, including routine maintenance, tune-ups and troubleshooting.
-
A volume packed with technical data, with reference tables dedicated to the various carburetors, advance adjustment, tightening torques (never available until now) and exhaustive grids dedicated to gearboxes and ratios.
-
Inside the manual you can learn various procedures for mounting the bearings on the crankshaft and closing the engine covers, allowing you to find your preferred method, also based on the tools you have.
-
The chapter dedicated to advanced assembly procedures reveals, among other things, all the latest innovations available on the market to take your Wideframe into the 21st century. Including the various options available for clutches and electronic ignitions.
