This book chronicles the fascinating subject of the World Land Speed Record, dating between the post-war period 1926 and 1939 through a selection of articles and reports covering both the attempts and technical appraisals of the cars as reported within the pages of Autocar and Motor and then from 1988 the combined Autocar & Motor, and present these chronologically within the pages of this publication. 

This collection is a valuable historical testimony, consisting of photocopies of articles published in the most important industry magazines in English. The articles include road tests, comparisons, and often in-depth technical descriptions. Although it represents significant documentation on the history of motoring, it is not known for its high typographical quality, as it consists of simple photocopies or facsimile reproductions.
