Product description
In the past, the topic had already been discussed on several occasions, but this time we are faced with a real and deep work of analysis of the SWISS PILOTS of F1 that, between 1950 and 2018, took part in the F1 Grand Prix or came close to. Mario Luini and Jean-Marie Wyder – who together followed 700 Grand Prix behind the scenes – devoted themselves assiduously to this theme. Their work is compiled in two volumes of 432 pages each with a total of over 1200 mostly unpublished photos, including all the details of the results of the different riders. In this first volume, some chapters are dedicated to the various Swiss F1 teams (Brun, Filipinetti, Sauber), to some personalities who have worked in GP environments (Maurice Baumgartner, Aleardo Buzzi, Paul Gutjahr, Heini Mader, Claude Sage, Peter Schetty, Max Welti, Etc.) and to tests organized on the Swiss circuits (Berne, Erlen, Geneva, Lausanne) before the 1955 ban. Naturally the protagonists are the pilots Jo Siffert, Marc Surer, Silvio Moser, Rudi Fischer, Loris Kessel, Heinz Schiller, etc. Volume 2 is also available.
