Product description
A member of the numerous group of Italian drivers who appeared in Formula 1 in the Seventies and Eighties, Elio de Angelis was a native of Rome, born in 1958, who arrived in the Blue Ribbon series with Shadow in 1979 after having caught the eye in the minor categories. His name is inseparable from that of the Lotus team, which he joined in 1980 and where he remained for six seasons, during which – while only securing two victories – he gave ample proof of his talent and became one of the fastest drivers of his time. He established an unforgettable sporting rivalry with Michele Alboreto and had a by no means easy relationship with the rising star Ayrton Senna. Glorious chapters from the history of motorsport, on an off track, come to life in this enthralling account by Gianluca Teodori.
