Based on a short story written by Richard Matheson that originally appeared in ‘Playboy’, Duel tells the story of David Mann (Dennis Weaver), a salesman on his way to a business meeting. When he attempts to pass a truck on the road, the truck driver takes offence and proceeds to block the road whenever Mann subsequently attempts to pass him. Quickly escalating into a deadly cat-and-mouse game, Mann and the truck find themselves involved in a life or death game of hide and seek.
