Product description
Main article and cover car: Ferrari 250 LM s/n 6053 year 1964. Our cover car number 264 is one of the most dreamed models in Ferrari history. Not only is it incredibly beautiful to look at, but it represents a turning point in the history of the factory. With its engine mounted in the rear (or engine positioned rear center to be more technical), this car was incredibly fast, much faster than its front-engine counterpart, the 250 GTO.
Profile: Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta s/n 230936 year 2017. LaFerrari was created precisely to show the best of what Ferrari could do, so much so that it takes its name from the company itself. Our car in the foreground lives in the United Arab Emirates, where it is well used. For many the greatest Ferrari ever made, it is incredibly fast and rewarding to drive. And its owner, a very successful gentleman driver in the Ferrari GT Championship, makes excellent use of his car, which he bought a new one.
Link to the main article: In this issue we interviewed Flavio Manzoni, designer of LaFerrari and LaFerrari Aperta, asking him to reveal all the secrets behind the styling process that saw the original Project 150 transform into what became LaFerrari.
One-time: One of the most important periods in the history of Enzo Ferrari is the one that saw him become an undisputed leader in the world of pre-war racing, not as a driver but as a manager of Scuderia Ferrari, racing with Alfa Romeo (among others). The years from 1930 to the beginning of the Second World War were in fact those in which he affirmed his reputation and cemented his legacy with technicians and pilots who, after the war, would have joined the Ferrari company we know today.
Test Drive: the 12Cilindri, the last GT born in Maranello tested on the road (and on the track). It confirms that it is one of the fastest and most powerful front-engine sports cars in history. The company describes the 12Cilindri as a niche car, aimed at selected buyers who want an old-school, unfiltered driving experience.
Events: Our round of events begins with the amazing Ferrari Cavalcade Classic, organized by Ferrari and considered one of the most important events in the world, which this year took place between Trieste in Italy and Slovenia. We then look at the recent successes recorded by 335 S, at the Salon Privé Concours d’Elegance in the United Kingdom, and from 212 S, at the Audrain Newport Concours d’Elegance. We conclude with two driving events, the GTO Legacy Tour in the Italian Dolomites, which marked the 40th anniversary of the “288” GTO, and the Anniversary Tour that celebrates, in Rome and Tuscany, the 60th anniversary of the 275 and the 40th anniversary of the GTO.
Finally, as always, Cavallino brings you the voices of different columnists, who discuss a variety of topics, as well as a complete and updated list of Ferrari market values (including the latest models) compiled by specialists who analyze the values and market trends of the different Ferrari cars.
