Zapelloni Umberto

Umberto Zapelloni began following Formula 1 in the 1980s as a correspondent on circuits all over the world for the newspaper ‘Il Giornale’. After 17 years he moved to ‘Corriere della Sera’ where, after having told about Schumacher’s world championships, he became head of the Sport and Motors editorial team. From 2006 to 2018 he was deputy director of ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’. He is currently in charge of the sports and mobility insert of il Foglio as well as collaborating with Il Giornale and l’Automobile and being a columnist for Race Anatomy on Sky. He has written several automotive books and edited the Ferrari encyclopedia and the Opera Omnia Ferrari on DVD. He has published the volumes Formula 1, Motociclismo, Valentino and Ferrari in the pages of the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’. For Giorgio Nada Editore he wrote Ferrari The golden men of the horse (2019) and was one of the authors of the volume Brembo 60 1961-2021. The beauty of innovation (2021).
