Sanfront Emanuele

Emanuele Sanfront: lives in Milan. He fell in love with rallies in the early 1970s. Journalist, editor-in-chief of Quattroruote magazine, he raced for twelve years as a co-driver aboard numerous cars: Lancia Fulvia HF, Alpine Renault A110, Porsche 911 Carrera RS, Lancia Stratos, to name a few. He was part of the official Fiat Rally team as a professional. Winner of the 1975 Italian Rally Championship together with Bobo Cambiaghi of which he was co-driver on a Fiat 124 Abarth, he followed between the end of ’75 and the beginning of ’76, again with Cambiaghi, the technical evolution of the new Fiat weapon from rally, the 131 Abarth with which he raced the sports seasons ’76 and ’77.
In 1983, after having participated as a private individual in numerous rallies, Emanuele puts on his helmet by dedicating himself exclusively to journalism, an activity which, despite his commitment as a co-driver in rallies, he never abandoned.
In 2009 Sanfront put his helmet and suit back on and dedicated himself to rallies reserved for historic cars, also racing alongside former Formula 1 Champion Jacky Ickx.
In his professional excursus to remember the writing of the books “Rally ’70. Una storia, tante storie”, “Rally” signed with Maurizio Verini, the numerous volumes of “Reparto Corse Lancia” written with Gianni Tonti,“Rallies” written together with the professional photographer Manrico Martella and “Fiat Abarth Reparto Corse Rally”.
