Born in Bologna in 1947, he has a degree in Economics. He has a degree as a chartered accountant and official auditor and is President of the holding company licensees Timberland, Polo Ralph Lauren and Clark’s as well as co-founder of Carthesio, a wealth management company. He brought the transit of the 1000Miglia, the Bologna-Raticosa and the Bologna-San Luca back to Bologna. President of Scuderia Bologna Squadra Corse, he won 8 Italian Championships. He has assumed institutional positions at the Gallery of Modern Art in Bologna. He has promoted and financed museum installations for his city. He wrote “Marmo & Bronzi per La Città di Bologna. Cronaca di un restaurazione” and, for Giorgio Nada Editore, “Bologna Raticosa. Una Storia di Uomini e Motori” with Carlo Dolcini and“ Sauro Mingarelli. Il Rosso – Il meccanico che stregò Ferrari”, with Lodovico Basalù.
The President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi awarded him the honor of Commendatore for merits to the Republic.
